Astron Wireless Technologies, Inc. offers a series of aluminum yagis for VHF through 900MHZ voice and data applications. They range from 2 element antennas with 4dBd of gain to 15 element yagis with more than 13dBd of gain. They incorporate Astron’s exclusive "Eversealed" feed system which was developed to provide long term protection from exposure in the most extreme environments. This feed system is fully balanced which will provide a clean, symmetrical radiation pattern. The standard yagis are built using a ¾" thick square aluminum boom which provides optimal structural integrity. The Astron yagi is also easy to install with the solid aluminum mounting blocks and stainless steel hardware provided. In addition, a flexible pigtail cable is also provided to mate with heavier feedlines, eliminating cable stresses and the need for jumper cables. Astron also manufactures a heavy duty version of this antenna with a thicker, 1" square aluminum boom. These antennas are an excellent choice for survivability in repeated installations or for extreme environments where continual access is limited.
