ASTRON ANTENNA INTEGRATED INTO DBS SYSTEMS DUAL MODE
SATELLITE DISH
Unique Design Provides DBS TV and Satellite Telephone in One
Unit
Astron Corporation today announced that after several months
of development for DBS Systems, Inc., a proprietary antenna design
has been approved by the Dania, Florida-based company. Astron
has begun full production of the antenna which is now of the
world's first portable dual mode, horizontally integrated satellite
dish antenna system. DBS Systems recently introduced the Marine-Sat-Tel
system which provides satellite telephone service and Direct
Broadcast Satellite (DBS) television reception to boats, recreational
vehicles, heavy trucks and other transportable applications.
DBS Systems is recognized as an industry leader in the manufacture
of Marine-Sat and Road Show mini satellite reception systems.

of the prototype antenna "H" design, the final changes
were made and the antenna was fully integrated into the Marine-SAT-Tel

solution based on 18 years of RF antenna experience."

of Marine-Sat- Tel comes in large measure from the unit's unique
design and flexibility. The sixteen-inch dish antenna's small
size and parabolic shape allow the Marine-Sat-Tel unit to be
used on boats at dockside and be unaffected by tide changes or
normal rocking conditions common in most marinas. Surprisingly,
one of the nicest features of the system is that there are no
moving parts. Astron has provided us with an integral part of
our overall system. This allows us to provide our customers with
