ASTRON ADDS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER TO DEFENSE DIVISION

Sterling , Va. – Astron Wireless Technologies, Inc., is pleased to announce the addition of Angel "A.J." Garcia to their team as Business Development Manager of the Defense Division.

Garcia comes to Astron with an extensive background providing IT and communications products and services to the federal government. His previous positions include management of business development programs and support operations for two technology firms based in Northern Virginia.

A U.S. Army veteran, Garcia served 21 years throughout Europe, Asia, and South America in the operations and aviation logistics field. While serving in the military he earned a degree in Business Administration and is currently working on his master’s in Homeland Security. 

Garcia is married and is a first responder volunteer with the Virginia Citizen Corp.  He holds memberships with the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) International and the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute (ACFEI) where he is holds a Homeland Security Level III certification.

When asked about joining Astron Garcia commented, “I am very excited about the opportunity to represent Astron’s products and capabilities and to bring value to their customers every day. I have a passion for growing business that serves the greater good of our national defense and look forward to working with the Astron team.”

At Astron his responsibilities will include the marketing of abilities and capabilities for antenna development, design and manufacture to government, Federal agencies, the DoD and prime systems integrators.
