IBT Solves Fulfillment House Barcoding Problems
printer

As a VAR, you are well aware of special needs and requirements distinctive to each project you work on. Whether speed requirements, size limitations, or the most common cost limitations, all require you to be able to adapt and sometimes create new solutions to solve your customers' problems. Integrated Barcode Technology (IBT) recently performed a bar code printer installation for a large fulfillment house, which required the integrator to find a unique answer to its client's problem.

When little Ricky from Omaha orders online merchandise, the fulfillment house pulls the various items from its warehouse and ships them. The company was experiencing efficiency issues with its internal packaging and shipping line and sought to find a cost-effective solution. IBT heard about the company's problems from an existing customer, made contact, and researched the problem. Read More

Airborne Blade Antenna for Sub-Sonic Aircraft and Helicopters
One of Astron's major military products is an airborne blade antenna, developed for application on sub-sonic aircraft, helicopters, ground vehicles, and ships specifically to operate over the full JTRS radios band of 30 to 2000 MHz. The airborne blade antenna achieves greatly improved performance, especially at the low end of the band for SINCGARS applications, while maintaining its small size for mounting on sub-sonic aircraft and helicopters.

Astron has had a series of R&D/Production programs over the last nine years achieving miniaturized antennas for communications and Direction Finding (DF) Arrays for the U.K., US Army/Navy, Australia, and others for submarines, ships, UUV/UAV, aircraft and land mobile systems.

The resulting Astron antenna and Direction Finding Array technology has, over years, evolved into Astron's "HESA™ Technology." This unique and proprietary set of advanced techniques provides for high efficiency, sensitivity, and accuracy in all our miniaturized and standard DF antenna systems. A major benefit of the HESA™ Platform includes the ability to co-locate multiple antennas and their associated electronics in a small package; oftentimes exceeding, but always maintaining, performance parameters equal to their larger counterparts. Profile: Tom Jackson

Tom Jackson, IBT VP of sales has been in the barcode and data collection (AIDC) industry for over 20 years.  He started after graduating from University of Maryland with Wallace Computer Service selling business forms and labels. There, he learned information flow and workflow management.  As even back in the mid-80s information was being emulated electronically, he moved into an industry which would allow the capture of that information automatically.

Tom started his own company in 1990 and never looked back. Integrated Barcode Technology experienced 16 years of growth dealing with many nationally known companies. Astron wireless acquired IBT in August of 2007 and Tom still exercises the same duties and responsibilities in sales he always has. " Customer service and growth are our primary objectives. I really don't think you can have one without the other."

It has a balanced "antenna feed" system for a clean radiation pattern. No field tuning is required. High strength aluminum is used for both the square tube boom and the solid rod elements for greater endurance and reliability. Custom V-blocks and stainless steel V-bolts are included for secure mounting and easy installation.
