| Introduction |

The FIRS7000 is a complete mobile, highly scalable signal monitoring and surveillance system. The system is a custom design that utilizes standard Windows Graphical User Interfaces (GUI) for operation and control. The system is designed for remote and unattended operation and can be configured to provide frequency coverage from 100 KHz to 40 GHz.
The FIRS7000’s modular design provides a scalable approach for the user. In this way, the user can establish a basic capability based on current needs and expand as necessary to satisfy future requirements.
This configuration guide presents a description of the overall system addressing such items as:
- Capabilities and applications
- Basic user application software
- System configurations examples
- System detection and processing performance
- Standard platform characteristics such as size and weight
The FIRS7000 is configured by selecting key sub-systems from the various options that are provided. Figure 1 summarizes the key sub-systems.
